A Journey of Love & Connection: Pray for Joe & Soman in Tamil Nadu

EAV, Leprosy, Stories

This week, Joe and Soman are setting out on a deeply meaningful journey—one driven by an overwhelming desire to be with our Embrace a Village team, sit with patients in our rehab and hospice centers, and personally visit the remote colonies we serve. More than just a trip, this is a mission to connect, encourage, and stand alongside those whose lives are being transformed through your prayers and support.

As a longtime supporter of Embrace a Village and a devoted prayer warrior, Soman’s heart has long been drawn to this mission. Now, alongside his friend and EAV’s CEO, Joe, he has the profound desire to witness firsthand the impact of this ministry. He is eager to meet the dedicated team in India, hear the stories of those who have endured so much, pray with them, and personally remind each person they meet that they are deeply loved and never forgotten.

Let us share one story that lights up our work: the story of Kothallam. At 63, Kothallam was once a hardworking farmer, proud of his land and the fruits of his labor. But when leprosy struck, it stole not only his strength but also his place in society.

Abandoned by friends and family, Kothallam was forced into isolation, living a life marked by hunger and heartbreak. Then one day, a compassionate volunteer from Embrace a Village knocked on his door. With a simple bag of rice, that volunteer delivered much more than food—he delivered hope. Month after month, our team’s visits have revived Kothallam’s spirit, reminding him that he is seen, he is valued, and he is never alone.

As Joe and Soman set out on this deeply meaningful journey, their hearts are filled with a desire to bring hope and encouragement to those they meet. We humbly ask you to join us in prayer—for their travels, for the lives they will touch, and for God’s guidance and protection every step of the way.

We can’t wait to share updates from their trip—stories of resilience, faith, and the incredible impact of your support. Thank you for being part of this mission. Your prayers and generosity are making miracles happen every day.
