Medical packets are saving lives!
We wanted to take a moment to share with you the work and care that goes into providing the medical care those we serve desperately need, especially in remote villages. Anyone can contract leprosy, and unfortunately, there is still a stigma associated with the disease in India that causes many people to hesitate to seek assistance. This leads to permanent disfigurement and physical disabilities that can leave individuals feeling hopeless and isolated.
Our teams visit different villages and colonies weekly to provide ulcer care treatment and self-care packets to those in need. Preparing these packets is an everyday task that our teams take very seriously. We receive large packages of bandages and cotton, which we then cut, roll, and pack to ensure that patients can easily do their own ulcer dressing for the rest of the week.
Thanks to the hard work of our teams and the support of our donors, we have made a huge difference in the lives of those with leprosy. Today, our team regularly provides care within 35 different leprosy colonies, while also reaching countless individuals who have been identified as needing help in other remote villages.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and for believing in our mission to share God’s love and provide hope and healing to those in need. Our ministry expands to almost all areas for those affected by leprosy. From our shoe program, medical kits, after-school programs for the children, and hospice care for the elderly – your support and God’s grace are taking the Embrace a Village vision and message of hope even further than we could have imagined.
As we continue our mission, we are humbled and grateful for your unwavering support. We firmly believe that God is guiding us to continue to expand our reach and share His love with even more people this year. Together, with your help, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those who have been shamed and forgotten. Joining our Embrace a Family initiative means directly helping get our teams to the remote villages and cover the supplies to help the best we can! Thank you for being a vital part of this journey with us.
